Pearl Expands Hold on Heartland
Monday, July 16, 2007 at 9:57:57 AMLast week, Pearl Insurance of Peoria Heights, Illinois completed a business transaction with Specialty Lines Underwriters, Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pearl's acquisition included the exclusive marketing rights for the CNA Lawyers Professional Liability Insurance program in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, as well as territorial administration for the CNA/AICPA Accountants Professional Liability Insurance program in Wisconsin. Specialty Lines Underwriters, Inc. will continue to serve their agents as wholesaler for all their excess and surplus lines needs.
Pearl Insurance, which already held the CNA exclusive marketing rights for lawyers in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia, is thrilled to add these new states. "The acquisition of the CNA franchise in these four states," explains Gary Pearl, President and CEO of Pearl Insurance, "continues the planned expansion of our geographic footprint through the Heartland, while also complementing and expanding our accountants business model. This purchase further enhances our professional liability focus and volume, moving us closer to our desired strategic growth through acquisitions."
